Greta Cottages - Our Story
GRETA COTTAGE - GERRINGONG
Greta Cottage Gerringong was established 7 years ago after stumbling on the run-down cottage following a routine stop into Gerringong, looking for a park on the street behind the town.
We instantly feel in love with the leafy frontage, 50s charm of the home, generously sized gardens, and access to the town and beach, and knew it had the potential to be an awesome family getaway beach house.
The renovation involved restoring the original home at the front, opening up the rear to create flow out into the sun drenched back deck, gardens and pool area, which were all reimagined around the old garage (now a games room) and Crepe Myrtle tree.
GRETA COTTAGE - BERRY
Greta Cottage Berry (10 min drive from GCG) was born out of the love of the south coast region and the success and enjoyment of our first accommodation listing.
This time we were looking for the worst house on the best street, and when we saw the deceased estate on a trip into Berry markets, we were immediately seduced by the character of the rusty old cottage, sitting isolated in overgrown gardens, on a corner bock, just off the main street.
We acted quickly, engaged a builder and set out to restore the old girl (circa 1920s) to her original charm, paying respect to as many heritage details as we could, while modernising interiors and adding a new contemporary extension, offering a further two bedrooms and ensuite.
Both buildings open out onto an oversized deck and entertaining space, which flows out into the landscaped gardens.
Completed in Oct 2025 this brand new addition is a stroll from all the action in town.
